...OR   Drive south to the beautiful, historic town of Franklin and visit the site of the Civil War's brief but fierce Battle of Franklin.  Then take a stroll around the town square and enjoy the many quaint shops and restaurants.

Nashvile affords easy driving access to other wonderfully interesting and historic towns and cities:  Memphis,  TN 3 1/2 hours, Chattanooga, TN 2 1/2 hours, Atlanta, GA is 3 1/2 hours, Louisville, KY 4 hours,  Asheville, NC 4 1/2 hours,  Florida beach destinations 7- 8 hours.
